>When you’re down in a series 3-1, the hardest game to win is the one that gets you within one win of evening the series. Tonight, the Phillies gutted out a hard fought victory over the Giants to send the series back to Philadelphia at 3-2. On Saturday, Oswalt will have to be solid, however, I expect the bats to come alive in a way that we’ve yet to see in this series. Being at home will re-energize the offense, allowing them to put up anywhere between 5-7 runs, and I don’t expect the Giants to score more than 4. If all goes well, it should come down to a great matchup Sunday night between Cole and Cain and we can only hope to see a reversal of fortunes much like the Halladay/Lincecum rematch that occurred this evening. If not, I’ll have to find a spot to get out a good hard cry.
It’s been a busy week, I haven’t written a substantial post in a while, but I want to update on posts that are soon to come:
Within the next few days expect to hear how my new job is going at UPenn’s equal opportunity office
I’ll get my Ben Affleck affliction out of my system by comparing Gone Baby Gone and The Town
More comments on the Phillies, the Eagles and their huge win over Atlanta last Sunday and upcoming match-up against the Titans, and maybe even some preview/early season thoughts on the Flyers and Sixers
All coming soon to a theater near you…
